Tell the one who thought life was miserable and went searching for happiness in his heart that the life of one who turns away from his Lord will not be right until he returns to his Lord.
Do not worship God for the sake of sustenance, do not worship God for the sake of position, and do not worship God for the sake of your worldly fortunes; but worship Him because His worship will lead you to His pleasure, and His pleasure is your goal that will bring you everything you want.
Always remember that you will not realize God’s wisdom in preventing you from what you love until the moment of compensation. They said about God Almighty’s compensation: “If what you wanted does not come to you, something will come to you that may make you forget everything you wanted.”
The story:
One of the most beautiful stories and lessons from life, as it contains many wisdoms and lessons that we should take into account in our lives.
While I was at work in the early hours, I received a call from my family. I answered immediately and they summoned me immediately. One sentence from their mouths was enough to make me drop everything I had in my hand, even if it cost me everything, and run to them. Your wife has passed away! Come immediately.
I didn't know how I got to my car or how I got home in the first place. All I remember honestly at that moment is that I felt as if I had been shot in the middle of my heart. A bullet that lodged in my heart. It did not cause my death and was a reason for my comfort, but it lodged in my heart and caused me great pain that would last me my entire life!
My wife, just one month before her passing, was diagnosed with tumors. I knew how dangerous her condition was, but what I never expected was that she would leave me and go away after her second chemotherapy session. It never occurred to me that I would bury her under the dirt with my own hands. After we finished washing her, carrying her body, burying her, and offering condolences, I returned to our house and began to look around every corner of the house. I saw all of our memories flashing before my eyes. I didn’t know then why this was happening to me!
My situation is like many others, sadly, I was overwhelmed with many thoughts and even more questions that I could not find an answer to at all. Everything that happens to us has a reason behind it, but what is the reason behind my wife’s death, leaving behind two children, the eldest of whom has not yet gone to the second grade of primary school?!
On this day, I performed ablution at home and went to the mosque for the first time in my life to pray the Isha prayer. As soon as we finished the obligatory prayer, I saw a man sitting next to me, his face radiating light and he was wearing white clothes that would please the eyes of those who saw them. He put his hand on my chest and said: “It seems that your heart is carrying more worries than it can bear.” I looked at him but I did not know how to answer, so he continued, saying: “Are you buying magic from me?!”
Here I rebuked him saying: “God’s limits are between me and him. Don’t you know that it is one of the major sins?!”
The man smiled and said: “It is magic in its effect, not magic as you thought. It is lawful magic, which is prayer.”
I asked him, completely ignorant of what he meant: “What does this supplication do, which has the effect of magic?!”
The man answered me, saying: “It solves the knots, relieves the heart of its worries, and heals the wounds of the soul.”
I quickly said to him: “I swear to God to show me him.”
The man said: “All you have to do is repeat this supplication according to the amount of worry you feel, the burden you carry, and the distress that hangs over your chest… O Allah, You who make the difficult easy, and soften iron, and You who fulfill the threat, and You who is every day in a new matter, take me out of the narrow straits to the widest path, with You I repel what I cannot bear, and there is no power or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Almighty. My Lord, do not withhold my supplication, do not reject my request, do not leave me with my regret, and do not entrust me to my power and strength, but to Your power and strength, O Loving, O Loving, O Possessor of the Glorious Throne, O Doer of what He wills, O Allah, I ask You by the light of Your face that fills the corners of Your throne… and after the supplication, you call upon Your Creator for whatever you want and desire, and I promise you that you will see miracles that will illuminate your life that has become in darkness.”
I didn't know then why I felt as if something moved inside me. I felt as if the man had cast a light inside me that illuminated the darkness, but with the many sorrows that had crushed my ribs and my preoccupation, I forgot. But one day, suddenly, I decided to try the man's method. I continued to pray for a whole year.
My family insisted that I marry another woman. I always refused, but despite my categorical refusal, they did not despair of me. They kept on asking and insisting on me. They used to tell me that if my marriage was for myself, then it should be for my young children. And indeed, I married a divorced woman. She was extremely beautiful, but she was divorced because she could not bear children. She was kind-hearted, gentle, and close to all people. She had a kind heart that made even hard stones soft because of its gentleness and beauty.
Honestly, something inside me made me ask about her ex-husband. I found him to be a very respectable man, which made me ask her about the reason for her divorce. Her answer was shocking to me. She was the one who asked for the divorce so that he could marry another woman and have children with her. She commented that one of his most basic rights over her was for him to be happy with his children.
My wife was the reason for changing everything around me for the better. My children’s long crying turned into loud laughter, and their well-groomed appearance became a sign of how much my wife cared for them. Her love for them was neither fake nor artificial. One day, contrary to usual, my wife’s pain intensified, so I took her to the doctor, who told us that she was pregnant!
I became certain of the wisdom of Allah, the Almighty, in my wife’s death. One day, I learned that my wife’s ex-husband had married a divorced woman who also had a son. Her ex-husband was a alcoholic who played gambling and was always insulting her. Here, the picture became clear to my eyes. My new wife was compassionate towards my children, devoted to caring for them and looking after them. She was very keen to teach them the fundamentals of their religion. Here, Allah rewarded her by making her pregnant. When the time came for her to give birth, she refused to give me my children so that she could rest from the pain of childbirth. She said to me at that time, with clear pain on her face: “They are all my children, and there is no difference between them. I feared Allah in dealing with them, so my Lord granted me what I was deprived of and compensated me with you as a righteous husband for me and gave me from you offspring who, if He wills, will be righteous like you.”
