Reading is one of the most important tools for self-discovery and knowing others, as reading removes temporal barriers and spatial boundaries. Whoever reads a book feels that he is living the events with the characters in it. Reading gives the reader the ability to move between the past and the present, and urges him to look towards the future and its hopes, and enables the reader to live in different eras.

As for reading stories and lessons, this experience enables us to benefit from the essence of the experiences of others who came before us and those around us. There is nothing more beautiful than taking every lesson that came with a valuable story that contains a lesson and a moral. We take from those who succeeded and excelled in it and avoid and overlook the failures that they fell into.

The first story:

One of the most beautiful stories and lessons ever…

A man tells a story and says… One day I was in a means of transportation that had fourteen passengers, and next to me was sitting a bearded young man who seemed to have the features of guidance and righteousness, and in front of us was a woman talking to the person next to her and saying verbally (but he refuses to divorce me until I give up everything, my expenses, my dowry, and all my rights), so I noticed a slight smile on the lips of the bearded young man, so I asked him jokingly, but I wanted to know the reason for his smile (are you smiling because you don’t want a divorce for her?!), He replied to me saying (I have been a man who has been married for more than seven years, and when I proposed to marry, my wife’s father did not write a list or a dowry or anything like that, all he said to me when I proposed to his daughter and he accepted me as her husband is that he who is entrusted with honor does not ask about money, you know, brother, when he said these words they had a beautiful effect and impact on me, whenever an argument broke out between me and my wife, I remembered her father’s words, so I would pick myself up and sit next to her in the house until she calmed down and I calmed down like her and the dispute between us ended without… The transgressions of either of us against the other; my wife’s father passed away, his words were always present in my mind, and with the first disagreement between us after his death, my wife was extremely angry and tense to the point that she raised her voice at me and transgressed a lot. I was surprised by my reaction to her, I smiled at her and told her that no matter what she does, I will not frown at you, as you are your father’s will to me), I realized then that preserving our daughters is not by writing a list or writing a high dowry, but by choosing well from the beginning.

The second story:

One of the most beautiful stories and lessons ever…

One of the girls tells the story and says, “I had a bag of beef in my fridge, and when I came to take it out and cook it, I was surprised that it wasn’t there!” So I asked my husband about it, as our children were still too young to open the fridge door in the first place. He calmly told me that his mother had asked him if we had any meat or poultry, so he gave it to her!

I asked her, and I was sad at the time. When I gave it to her, you knew for sure that we had nothing else, and that I would cook it today. Couldn’t you have told her then that we had nothing else?!

Then he answered me with all arrogance, saying: “You and your money belong to your father.” I asked him in surprise: “Okay, I don’t mind, but tell me, what about your open house?! What about our children?! You give me an allowance that barely suffices us. Don’t you know how many hours I spend planning what I should buy and what I can do without?!”

The conversation between us ended that day with him leaving me without answering my question. I always calm myself down and remind myself that we are much better than others and I try hard not to argue with him. I don’t remember a day when I burdened him with many demands; but his mother always contacts him and asks him about everything in our house. At the beginning of every month he gives me what he gives me from his salary. Do you know that I don’t even know his salary exactly every month, but I take what he gives me and make a plan for him. I buy all my necessary needs at once to save on expenses and I don’t go to the market repeatedly to spend as much time as possible with my husband and children and provide them with everything they need.

What he gives me is barely enough for us. My mother-in-law has no financial problems at all. My father-in-law is a man who provides everything that any household needs without his wife (my mother-in-law) asking him to. He is a man of great wisdom and awareness, to the point that I wish my husband had inherited it from him. As for my mother-in-law, I certainly and honestly always find her begrudgeing everything to me and my children, who are basically the children of her only son.

I am sure that I am not being unfair to her. At first, I thought that she lacked what she asked for until that day when I happened to be downstairs with her when I called my husband and asked him to buy her oil, tea, sugar and some household needs, knowing that I was arranging her kitchen and found everything that she asked for from her son available and surplus to her needs. I did not say anything and I fear God if I did, but all that concerns me are my young children. If I do not provide them with the basics they need, where will they find them?!

This was a message from one of them, and she wanted a solution to her problem. What her husband is doing does not please her, and at the same time she is afraid to talk to him for fear of her Creator. So what do you advise her to do?
