The first story, titled The Patient and the Smart Doctor:

The patient and the clever, sarcastic doctor is a short story in Arabic, but it is the most beautiful among its counterparts because of the purposeful meaning it carries…

It is said that in ancient times a simple man felt a sharp pain in his stomach. At first he forced himself to bear it, but the pain soon began to increase day after day. So the man went to the town doctor, and the doctor asked him about the nature of the pain he felt and its location. The man replied that the pain was in his stomach. And food often causes him this pain.

The man thought that the food he was eating was the cause of the pain he felt, as perhaps there were some problems with the food as a result of which he felt these pains, but the doctor had another opinion, completely different from the man’s opinion.

The doctor was listening carefully to the man and his complaints, and after the man finished complaining, the doctor continued to think a lot, and then the doctor said to the man: “Don’t worry, I have your medicine and it is fast-acting.” The man was happy with the doctor’s good news.

So the doctor summoned his assistant and ordered him to bring him the kohl and put some kohl in the man’s eyes. The man was very surprised by the doctor’s medicine, and said to him: “O doctor, the pain that I am suffering from is in my stomach and not in my eyes, so how can I leave the site of the disease without medicine and treat someone who is not in pain?” from him?!”

The doctor stood up and patted the man on the shoulder, saying: “I chose this medicine specifically for you so that you can see the spoiled food well before you eat it without knowing that it is contaminated, spoiled, and not fit to eat.”

The second story is entitled The Miser and the Envious:

A short story in Arabic that reveals the true meaning of the traits of miserliness and envy, and how they are among the ugliest human traits that could ever afflict one of us…

In one of the ancient kingdoms, there was a wise king who wanted to give a harsh lesson to two of his servants, as the first one had the trait of miserliness, while the other was envious and did not like goodness at all to other people.

The king said to them that he wanted one of them to ask for a lot of good for himself, and he would give him what he wished for and give the other twice what the first wished for. Since each of them only desires good for himself and not for others, they disagreed a lot and were unable to achieve their wish. When the king saw this from them, he said in extreme anger: “Either either of you makes a request or I cut off your heads with my sword immediately.”

One of them said: “Then, my lord, let my eyes go out!”

The third story, entitled The Origins of the Shoe:

A short story in Arabic that shows us the beginning of the origin of the shoe in ancient times…

It is said that in one of the ancient kingdoms, one day, the king decided to closely inspect the conditions of his subjects and feel what they were feeling. The king was characterized by justice and mercy, so he decided to walk the streets to personally become aware of the problems and suffering of his subjects in the kingdom.

So the king walked a long and arduous path. The day was extremely hot and the stones on the roads were hot to the point of death, which caused the king to suffer severe injuries in his feet and to feel much of the pain that his subjects feel every day.

So the king decided to pave all the roads with leather so that his subjects would not suffer any more, but the cost was too high for the kingdom’s treasury, so one of his wise men suggested to him to place a piece of leather under the feet of the subjects, thus protecting them from the heat of the road and at a lower cost than covering all the roads. In the Kingdom.

The fourth story, entitled Gold and the Cloud:

A short story in Arabic that has a meaning despite being a comic story…

Many times, one of us feels that our mind has stopped, even for a few seconds, and when we go back to reflect on what we did during this time, we feel how stupid we were at the time. At that time, the person does not feel himself or what he is doing. Have you ever experienced a similar feeling?!

One day, a man headed towards the desert and started digging everywhere he came across. He was looking for something, but he never told anyone what the thing he was looking for was.

He kept digging here and there, but to no avail. He only reaped the fatigue and extreme weariness of his body. At the same time, another man was passing by on the road next to him. He was amazed at his condition and the reason for the sadness that clouded his chest. The man finally told him that he had buried gold in the desert, and despite his searching. From the early morning everywhere, he could not find him, as if he had disappeared, God forbid.

The passing man asked him: “Why didn’t you put a clear and obvious mark on the place where you buried the gold that no one else knows about?!”

The man said: “How could I not do that?! I knew the place where I buried the gold because of a cloud in the sky!”
