There is nothing more beautiful than reading short stories that can be finished in less than one session, but we gain a lot of benefit and lessons from them. With every short story, we find a new tale with a new experience and a new benefit. Short stories have many benefits when read and benefited from.

Reading itself develops the reader’s ability to analyze and criticize, through the reader’s use of the skill of critical thinking. This comes through his observations of all the details he reads and his determination of the style of writing them and the extent to which they convey the meaning that the writer intended from them, his determination of whether they are good or not, and whether they find a plot in them or not. This is what is called criticism.

It is also worth mentioning that reading is enough to teach a person the skill of critical thinking, and if he acquires this skill, he will deal with it in all different aspects of life, and this skill is always beneficial to those who possess it.

Reading reduces the stress and pressure that a person goes through in his personal life, and perhaps during his work, and once a person gets rid of his stress, he can then get rid of all the difficult situations that he goes through.

The first story:

The American philosopher Noam Chomsky was famous for his ability to write and expose global systems with his words and reveal their truth to their people. He lost his ability to speak and write at the age of 95.

One of his most famous quotes that has been immortalized for its beauty and realism is…

“The world or the West will regret its trivial ideas that take man out of his humanity and take him out of the nature with which he was created, so he must know the true religion and the true belief.”

“The world is a very mysterious and confusing place. If you are not willing to be confused, you will become just a carbon copy of someone else!”

“If you want to control a people, make them believe that they are the reason for their backwardness and that you are coming to save them.”

“One of the clearest lessons of history is that rights are not given, but taken by force.”

“If you want to conquer a people, create an imaginary enemy who seems more dangerous to them than you, and then be their savior.”

“There is a purpose in distorting history and making it look like great men did everything. It is part of how people are taught that they can't do anything and that they are helpless, and that all they have to do is wait for a great man to do it for them!”

“No one will put the truth into your mind! The truth must be discovered by you.”

“There is no such thing as a poor country in the world, but only a failed system for managing the country’s resources.”

The second story:

From beautiful and interesting short stories that carry a strong meaning that we must work with…

A mother who cooks her food with hot peppers finds that her children grow up loving to add hot peppers to all their foods; and a mother who cooks her food with a little salt finds that her children grow up eating food with little salt!

The mother who is accustomed to backbiting her husband, her husband’s family, and people in general in front of and behind her children, finds that her children grow up with backbiting and gossiping and find no objection to backbiting all people. The mother who is accustomed to satisfying her children with affection and tenderness, her children grow up emotionally stable and do not suffer from any psychological problems.

And the mother who used to steal everything she found in front of her, finds her children growing up stealing and eating money!

A mother who is always commenting on everything, and who does not please everyone and everything around her, finds her children difficult to please.

A mother who is accustomed to raising her voice in front of her husband and in the presence of her children finds her children growing up not respecting anyone, whether young or old, and not appreciating the true meaning of family and the warmth of the family home.

As for the mother who, when the time for prayer comes, leaves everything she has to perform her prayer, her children grow up praying and knowing how important it is in the life of every Muslim.

And the mother whose words are fragrant whenever she speaks finds her children growing up with kindness and good treatment wherever they go?

A mother who fears God in everything she does will only produce offspring like her. The bottom line is that raising our children requires us to raise and discipline ourselves first, and then we apply to them what we applied to ourselves before.

The third story:

One of the most beautiful short stories ever, as it contains valuable and precious advice…

Give a man a job, and you will realize that a new family will be built and established in your society. On the other hand, give a woman a job, and you will realize that a new brand will be established in one of the markets around you!

If you give a man a job, you will find him spending his money on basic necessities such as marriage, establishing a home and meeting its requirements, buying a plot of land, a farm and developing it, investing in projects that will benefit generations to come. On the other hand, if you give a woman a job, you will find her spending the money of an entire nation on luxuries such as buying a luxury car, makeup, jewelry and ornaments, the most expensive bags, clothes and perfumes!

From here we can conclude that giving a job to a man is a real growth for society, while giving it to a woman is a real growth for capitalism. If a woman took a job from a man who would have married a woman, then in this case the woman caused two problems: an unemployed man and a spinster woman!

If we gave the available job to a man, we would find that he solved two problems: the unemployed man worked, the spinster girl got married, and the same money returned to the girl as a dowry and maintenance.
