The first story:

One day, a woman bothered a merchant in a famous market, and she started chasing him back and forth until he relented and asked her: “Isn’t it time for the moon to take pity on my poor heart and agree to come down to earth to reside inside my heart and be a crowned king in my home?!”

She asked him in astonishment: “How can I marry you when I am already married?!”

He asked her, “Are you married?!”

She said: “Yes, and my husband has been traveling abroad for years. He traveled and did not return, and I have not heard from him. I pray to God that he will not return to me or come back.”

The merchant said to her: “God willing, he will not return.”

The woman said to him: “I want you to go with me to the judge and tell him that I am your wife and that you want to separate from me and divorce me.”

She held on to him after placing her hand on his chest and said: “I want my situation to be like that of other women. Don’t I have the right to marry someone like you and live my life with him?!”

He answered her eagerly: “I will go with you and I will do whatever you want, and I will be your future husband, God willing.”

They went together to the judge and the woman said: “Your Honor, this is my husband who has been away from me for years and now he has returned and wants to divorce me.”

The judge asked him: “Are you her husband?”

The merchant said: “Yes, Your Honor.”

The judge asked him: “Do you want to divorce her?!”

The merchant said: “Yes.” The judge asked her: “Are you satisfied with the divorce?”

The woman said: “Yes, Your Honor.”

The judge gave the man permission to divorce her, and as soon as the judge pronounced the divorce, the woman said: “Your Honor, he traveled and left me to suffer alone for many years. I want from him the expenses for these years and the expenses for my divorce as well.”

The judge asked him: “Why did you leave her and not send her her expenses?!”

The merchant was certain that he had fallen into the woman’s trap and that she had done everything she had done only to trap him, so he said to the judge: “I was busy with her, Your Honor, and I could not reach her, and when I was able to, I returned to her immediately.”

The judge said: “If he gives her two thousand dinars as alimony.”

The man said to himself: “If I spoke about what happened between us, they would imprison me, and if I denied that she was my wife, they would flog me. I have no choice but to pay a snake like her.”

The second story:

One of the most beautiful stories and lessons ever, as it carries sublime meanings within it…

One of the women says: Several months ago, I rented a very small room in one of the poor neighborhoods, which was not bad at all. This small room had a lot of warmth, and within its walls you felt a lot of inner comfort and reassurance. It had a glass window overlooking a giant tree inhabited by many birds.

Every morning I used to put the grains on the window after opening it, and I made sure to put enough water as well, and at the same moment the birds would come to the window to get their fill of water and food. I put my work in the hands of my Creator, Glory be to Him, and nothing made me reveal it except that day when I went out early in the morning and went to a bank to collect my retirement pension. I deliberately put what I put every day before I went for fear of being late for them, and when I returned at noon I noticed that the birds, as soon as they saw me, began to fly above my head and chirp around me until I reached the entrance of the building.

I rushed to my room to find out the food and water, if they ran out I would replace them, but I was surprised when I opened the window to find that the food and water were still there, as if no bird had ever touched them. I looked in front of me at the tree as if I was blaming them for their actions, but I found them looking at me and saying to myself, “You’ve returned and our hearts are reassured about you. Now we can eat and drink as we wanted!”

And indeed they came to me to eat and drink. At that moment I realized how valuable I was to these birds, a value I had not realized for many years among all the people I had known throughout my life!

The third story:

One of the most beautiful stories and lessons ever, because of the meanings it carries within it…

A young man used to see his deceased mother every night in his dreams burning her own body in a fire for eight long years. Every time he woke up from his heavy sleep, he would pray for mercy and forgiveness for his mother because of the horror of what he saw in his vision!

This dutiful son continued to pray for his deceased mother to be forgiven, merciful and pardoned until she came to him one night in his dream smiling. Her son asked her about the reason for torturing her for all these eight years?

His mother said to him: “Because of the glass of milk!”

He knew the story of the glass of milk. The young man's father had been married before his marriage to his mother, and he had a son from his first wife. So when the young man's mother poured the milk every morning for breakfast, she would give the young man a glass full of milk, and his brother from his father a glass half full of milk and the other half full of water, and she would mix them well together!

This woman suffered in hell for eight years because of the cup of milk mixed with water, and the same number of times she gave her stepson the cup of milk mixed with water, she suffered in hell for her own sake!
